Pricing principles
Welcoming to families: One of our key design goals is to be family-friendly, so we are offering a subsidized ticket for children under 18 and for couples who come together.
Encouraging longer stays: Those who come for all of June will have the most immersive experience, because a large part of what we are testing is different ways of living and working together. As a result, the longer you stay, the cheaper the cost will be per day.
Scholarships: We want to make Edge Esmeralda especially welcoming to people like scientists, young builders, musicians, open source developers, and artists. We have created special tickets for Builders and Scholars to make Edge Esmeralda more affordable to these groups.
Thank you to locals: We are so thankful to Healdsburg for hosting us, so as a thank you, we are offering a big discount to Sonoma County locals. We really want locals to be involved in Edge Esmeralda, and it’s important to us that the community benefits directly from this gathering.
Sponsorship
We are doing our best to find sponsors to provide as many scholarships as possible. If you are interested in sponsoring someone’s scholarship to attend Edge Esmeralda, buy a Patron ticket or get in touch!

How will ticket proceeds be spent?
We are not making a profit on this gathering, and we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our intention is for ticket revenue to be break-even with expenses.
However, creating a memorable experience involves significant costs, and it is important that this event is self-sustaining. For full transparency, the major costs to bring this popup village into being include: co-working spaces, event spaces for seminars and talks, athletic activities, shared local organic meals, community events, team support, and inclusion of children.
We can’t wait to see you in Healdsburg in June! We are working hard to make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone, and we are so excited to live side-by-side with you for a month.
Hi! do sonoma county residents need to show anything when they pick up their ticket? thanks!
Will there be another one next year? Or alternatively a -join remotely- option?
