Reminder: Even if you have filled out the initial interest form, you’ll need to submit the full application. We are approving applications, scholarships, and subsidized lodging options on a rolling basis, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible to increase your chances!

We are excited to share the first batch of programming for Edge Esmeralda! Check it out at calendar.edgeesmeralda.com.

This timeline shows the initial agenda for the month. It is not exhaustive — many sessions and impromptu salons will be organized during the event, and we’ll add more larger programs soon — but it should give you a sense of the programming at the gathering. The calendar will be updated as we get closer to June, and please keep in mind that the programs can move around in timing, so make sure to check back regularly.

As we discussed in our post about our programming philosophy, we have made several design choices in how we approach this schedule. At a high level, we want to optimize for emergence, and to take advantage of the longer monthlong format that we have together. This allows us to: 

• Focus on creation rather than just consumption 

• Maximize the surface area for serendipity

• Encourage learning across a diversity of disciplines 

To execute this type of event, we’ll work with topic experts to organize unconference sessions, summits, and salons throughout the month. We have five overarching themes — human organization, AI, real-world crypto, health & longevity, and hard tech — and each will have various programs throughout the four weeks. 

For those who stay for multiple weeks, which we recommend, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about whichever topics interest you and share your expertise throughout your time there. But if you come for a shorter amount of time, you can still be confident that there will be an interesting set of programming while you are there. You can also help to organize and collaborate with others who share your interests.
