Kindred home-swapping opportunity
A way to make housing more economical while you're at Edge Esmeralda
Reminder: Don’t forget to submit the full application, even if you’ve filled out the initial interest form. We’re approving applications, scholarships, and subsidized lodging on a rolling basis, so we recommend applying as soon as possible!
Healdsburg is not cheap, and we’ve been looking for creative ways to make housing at Edge Esmeralda more accessible.
As part of that effort, we’ve partnered with a home-swapping community called Kindred so that Edge Esmeraldans can skip their 50,000 person waitlist!
Here's how Kindred works:
When you travel, vetted Kindred members stay in your home
For every night you host a Kindred member, you get a one credit to stay in another member's home
Kindred sends a cleaning crew before and after someone stays at your home, so you don’t have to worry about logistics
My husband and I have been a part of the Kindred community since its inception in 2021, and it’s an incredible way to travel. We've now experienced over 90 nights in others’ homes and have hosted dozens of members in my own.
Kindred has massively upgraded the quality of places we stay when we travel, while at the same time dramatically reducing the cost. The cherry on top is that now I always have people to take care of my plants while I’m gone! Sometimes when I describe Kindred, I realize it sounds too good to be true, but it really does work that well for us. (I’m actually writing this from a Kindred home as we speak!)
For those attending Edge Esmeralda, Kindred has extended an invite code that will allow you to bypass their 50,000 person waitlist, receiving priority review to ensure accepted members have time to onboard before joining us in Healdsburg in June:
Invite code: EDGE.ESMERALDA
Invite link: livekindred.com/?invite_code=edge.esmeralda
We can’t wait to see you in June! We hope using Kindred makes it a little easier for you all to attend Edge Esmeralda.
