A typical day at Edge Esmeralda 2024
What to expect when you join us in Healdsburg in June!
Edge Esmeralda’s unique format means it is probably different from other events you’ve attended, so we wanted to share what a typical week will look like! In some ways though, this format is not that new, because:
Edge Esmeralda is similar to a college campus, with all sorts of interesting activities in walking & biking distance from each other. You’ll have the opportunity to attend and participate in book clubs, talks by domain experts, musical performances, group sports, workshops where you can learn a new skill, and much more.
Much like a college campus, weekdays will be more oriented towards focused time, while weekends will have a higher density of activities and programming:
During the week: After a healthy breakfast, you’ll spend the daytime in deep work. We provide infrastructure for you to be productive, whether you need a day of focus or want to run a retreat for your team or in a specific topic area. You will be in a beautiful place to work without having to worry about logistical details.
In the evenings: There will be activities and opportunities to meet people, such as salons corresponding to that week’s theme and group bike rides in the surrounding wine country.
Each weekend: We'll host unconferences on a variety of topics organized by relevant experts. At this point, the month-long participants will be joined by shorter-term visitors, injecting fresh energy into the popup village.
If you’re a Healdsburg local, here’s what to expect:
There will be talks and workshops hosted in several venues in town, centered around Foss Creek Trail.
We are encouraging visitors to walk & bike as their primary modes of transportation rather than driving, to reduce environmental impact and stay active.
